Haleakala Moonset

The colors of Haleakala never disappoint. Whether you go up for the famous sunrise or not as populated sunset, they are an equally amazing experience. I shot this photo of the moon above the clouds a few minutes after the sun went down. The sun was way too bright when it was above the clouds to see the moon. So, when the moon made a sudden appearance, I had to get a few shots before it slipped under the clouds to join the sun for dinner.
